Ooty Flower Show - 2012 Latest News
Since 1896 Flower Show is conducted in Ooty. The 116th flower show will start from May 18th. The Ooty flower show 2012 will be held in Botanical Garden, Ooty on 18 to 20, May 2012. During this Flower Show around 14000 potted flowering plants are showcased. In addition to this, around 2000 flower pots are kept by the competitors during the flower shows. More than160 varieties of flowers in different colours decorate the show. Around 50 varieties of potted plants, also 150 varieties of cut flowers, various kinds of tropical, temperate vegetables and fruits are exhibited by the competitors. The Floral decorations, Indian and Japanese flower arrangements, Vegetable carving, Flower Rangoli, Bonsai etc., are the major attractions during the show days.
